About Me

My name is Gareth and I was born and raised right here in Edinburgh.

My background is in the social sector - I worked primarily in the past with those diagnosed with 'mental illness', either in shared accomodation, in the community aiming to prevent homelessness or as a trainer and human rights educator for staff in the NHS. I have also spoken openly and advocated about my own history of spiritual emergency and crisis. 

I have a Masters in Psychology of Mental Health and Certificate in Counselling from Edinburgh University, as well as an undergraduate in Earth Sciences.

Music is a big part of my life - you'll often find me at an open mic jam, or making music both alone and with friends.

I am qualified to Reiki level 3 (Reiki Master). My lineage is through the Healing Hands Reiki School in Edinburgh. I hope to put some of my past energetic experiences to good use in the healing and aiding of others - providing a complementary therapy to aid my clients rebalance their 'ki' (chi or life force energy) and find some inner harmony. 

I also hope to put my musical ear to good use through my sound bathing packages!
